No cookies

The site stores no cookies, which is why there is no consent banner.

Anonymous statistics, no tracking

We count visits with Umami, an open-source tool running on our own server. It uses no cookies and does not store your IP address. It records the page address, the page you came from, the type of browser, operating system and device, screen size, language and country. It does not recognise you on a later visit or on other sites, and we do not share the data with anyone. There are no advertising pixels or third-party scripts here.

One note in your browser

If you switch the theme (light or dark), your browser remembers the choice. It stays on your device and says nothing about who you are.

Server logs

Like every web server, ours records technical data for each request: IP address, time, page address and browser type. They are used only to keep the site secure and working and are not combined with anything else. The server is run by Scaleway in France.

Contact form

If you write through the form, your name, email address, message and the page language are emailed to our business mailbox on Google Workspace. They are used only to reply and are not stored on the website’s server. To protect the form from spam, the server keeps a one-way hash of the sending IP address for one hour, not the address itself.

Email

If you write to our address directly, your address and message are used only to reply.

Links to other sites

Links to our blogs and apps, podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Buzzsprout) and social media open those services in a new tab. They have their own privacy rules. Nothing is loaded from them until you click.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Server logs and messages are handled on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): running a secure site and replying to messages.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: CNIL (opens in a new tab).

If the site starts collecting anything more, this policy will be updated first.
